Rails: Diving into the Rabbit Hole

Maybe you have heard of it, maybe you haven’t. Maybe you’ve heard how it makes a back-end developer’s life easier, but how does it effect the front-end developer? What is Rails? It can make many applications of Javascript much easier. The template and URL mechanisms reward the adventurous developer with easy to maintain markup and uncluttered URLs. Merely stepping into the Rails community connects you to a group that shares an aesthetic for building great applications.

Adams Keys will talk about all three of these features (and more!), tackling Rails from the perspective of the front-end architect (but not leaving the back-end stuff out either).

This Meeting Happened in the Past

It was held on Thursday March 23, 2006 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Christopher A. Parr Library.
